The odds of finding an unoccupied charger that is appropriate to the make/model of your vehicle near your home and in a functioning state are extremely slim.

What are the incentives for installing residential EV chargers in Alberta?

Federal government rebates are available to Edmonton residents who own or lease eligible zero-emission vehicles (ZEV). These include the following:

Battery-electric
Plug-in hybrid electric
Hydrogen fuel cell
There are two types of Federal rebates that you may qualify for:

Electric battery, hydrogen fuel cell and plug-in hybrid cars are eligible for up to a $5,000 rebate
The Federal rebates are available until March 31, 2025, OR until available funding is exhausted. Apply these rebates to your investment in an EV changing station.

Due to limited requests, the annual incentive may be closed when you find this.
