FEDERAL Electric Vehicle Grants

Edmonton residents can access Federal government rebates if they own or have a lease-eligible zero-emission vehicle (ZEV). The following vehicles are considered to be ZEVs:

  • battery-electric
  • plug-in hybrid electric
  • hydrogen fuel cell

There are two types of rebates:

  1. Electric battery, hydrogen fuel cell and plug-in hybrid cars are eligible for a $ 5,000 rebate
  2. Plug-in hybrid cars are eligible for a $ 2,500 rebate.
